Two-year-old drowns in Dargle

A two-year-old boy drowned in the River Dargle near his home in Bray, Co Wicklow. Luke O'Brien, of Galtrim Road, disappeared from home on Monday at around noon. His body was found in the river at about 1 p.m. Efforts were made to revive the boy but he was pronounced dead at 3.30 p.m. at St Colmcille's hospital in Loughlinstown.
