Two women are in hospital today after being rescued from a fire at a bed and breakfast in Co Down.
One of the women was in a serious condition after suffering severe burns to her body in the B&B at Downs Road in Newcastle.
Several other guests in the B&B were evacuated by the owner after alarms alerted them.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the building and rescued the women after the alarm was raised soon after midnight, he said.
An examination of the scene is being carried out later.
