Ms Josephine Finnerty (34), from Newtown, Kildare town, was killed in a car accident yesterday afternoon at Small ford, Athy, Co Kildare. She died at the scene of the accident, which did not involve any other vehicles.
A woman in her sixties was killed when she was struck by a bus in Letterkenny, Co Donegal, yesterday. The woman, believed to be a tourist, was knocked down while crossing Port Road shortly after 3 p.m.
