Two people were treated for burns yesterday after an ammonia leak shortly after 3 p.m. forced the evacuation of a food processing plant in Dublin. However, a major alert was averted when the leak at Walsh Family Foods at the IDA industrial estate in Poppintree was quickly brought under control. A member of Dublin Fire Brigade and a female employee of the company suffered burns at the scene and were treated at the Mater Hospital, but their injuries were not serious.
