Two teenagers have been arrested following a series of incidents in Cork in which the windows of cars, houses and a hotel were damaged on Tuesday afternoon.

The two men, described as being in their "late teens", were arrested this morning and are being held at Bandon Garda Station.

Windows were damaged at the Trident Hotel in Kinsale, and two windows were also damaged on a school bus in Inishannon. Damage was also done to a house in the same area.

Later, a four-wheel drive vehicle parked on the main Kinsale to Bandon road was found with its windows damaged.

A Garda spokesman said it is believed the youths used a catapult-type device to cause the damage.
