Two men injured in north Dublin shooting

Two men are being treated in hospital following a double shooting in north Dublin this morning.

Two men are being treated in hospital following a double shooting in north Dublin this morning.

Gardaí understand that a fight broke out between the two men at Corduff Green, Blanchardstown, at around 6.10am.

One of the men had a shotgun.

One of the injured men was shot in the stomach before the other man was hit during the struggle.The men are aged 46 and 52.

Gardaí believe that only one weapon was used in the shooting and are not seeking anyone else in relation to the incident.

The men were taken for treatment to Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown where their condition has been described as stable.
