Two men died at the weekend in separate motorcycle crashes in counties Kildare and Mayo.

Two men died at the weekend in separate motorcycle crashes in counties Kildare and Mayo.

A 43-year-old man was killed on the Clane Road, Celbridge, when his motorcycle crashed into a wall. A male pillion passenger was also injured in the crash, which happened at about 3am on Saturday.

In the second crash, a 39-year-old man suffered fatal injuries after his motorcycle hit a wall on the Shore Road, Killala. He was taken to Castlebar General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Gardaí said no one else was involved in the incident.

They are seeking witnesses to both crashes.
