Two men arrested after Belfast hijacking

Police are questioning two men today after a motorist was dragged from his car during a hijacking in Belfast.

Police are questioning two men today after a motorist was dragged from his car during a hijacking in Belfast.

The driver of a blue Vauxhall was pulled out of the car by a man at a filling station on the Antrim Road at about 2.30am.

The hijacker then drove away. He had got out of a light grey Renault Scenic that also sped off.

The stolen car was later discovered in the Seabourn Parade area of Skegoneill and two men, aged 26 and 28, were arrested nearby.

Police urged anyone who was at the service station and witnessed the incident to contact detectives at Antrim Road.
