TWO people were killed in separate accidents yesterday. In Co Down, a 21 year old man was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided with a lamp post on the Newry to Belfast road outside Newry.
In Co Galway, a 90 year old man was killed and his son and a third man injured when two cars collided on the main Dublin to Galway Road at Cappataggle, near Ballinasloe. The three were taken to Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe. The third man, who was seriously injured, was transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
