A 15 year old boy was killed in a road accident in north Dublin yesterday evening. The accident happened on the dual carriageway in Ballymun around 6.45 p.m. when the boy was hit by a jeep as he ran across the road. He was taken to Temple Street Hospital.
A woman passenger was killed in a two car collision on the main Limerick Waterford road on the outskirts of Clonmel, Co Tipperary yesterday. She was Mrs Josephine McCarthy (72) of Nine Road, Ballymacarberry, Clonmel.
The crash occurred at about 11.20 a.m.
