Mr Finbarr O'Halloran (32) was killed on Saturday when his Range Rover collided with a telegraph pole and overturned at Kilbride, Co Meath.

Three passengers in the vehicle were treated for injuries at James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown and later released.

Mr O'Halloran, who lived at Tamestown, Clonee, was a native of Killester, Dublin, and worked in the construction industry.

He was brother of Ms Marie O'Halloran, staff journalist with The Irish Times.

Mr Declan Melody (20), from Carrick, Ballina, Co Mayo, died when his motorcycle lost control and hit a fence at Glencastle on Saturday.
