Two killed in road accidents

A man was killed when his car hit a ditch while he was overtaking another driver at Ballyrandle, Co Waterford, at 12.15 a.m

A man was killed when his car hit a ditch while he was overtaking another driver at Ballyrandle, Co Waterford, at 12.15 a.m. yesterday. Mr Garrath Taylor (23) was from Stradbally, Co Waterford. Mr John Finlay (32), of Ardee, Co Loath, was killed in a collision between a car and a lorry at Ballybattle on the Dundalk Ardee road on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the woman who was killed while crossing the main Galway Tuam Road at Cregboy, Claregalway, on Thursday has been named as Mrs Elizabeth Lawlor (61) of Cregboy.
