Two men have been injured, one critically, in a serious assault in Waterford City.
The men, who are brothers and in their mid 20s, are understood to have been assaulted by a group of other men at 11.45pm in the People’s Park.
The younger of the two brothers remains in a critical condition in intensive care in Waterford Regional Hospital today.
His older sibling also sustained several injuries in the attack but his condition was not described as life threatening.
A Garda spokeswoman said the park had been sealed off for a technical examination.
