Two people were injured in a fire at a high-rise block of flats in east Belfast last night.

Two people were injured in a fire at a high-rise block of flats in east Belfast last night.

They were treated in hospital for smoke inhalation following the fire at Clarawood House in Sandown Road.

The fire started in an empty apartment on the 10th floor at around 9.30pm.

Smoke filled the corridors between the flats and around 30 residents were evacuated.
