A chemical spill at the pharmacy department of Queen's University in Belfast has left two people in hospital.

A chemical spill at the pharmacy department of Queen's University in Belfast has left two people in hospital.

A quantity of toxic gas was released at the McClay Research Centre, off the Lisburn Road.

Two people were treated at Belfast City Hospital for the effects of the fumes. Their condition is not thought to be serious.

The area was sealed off while two fire crews trained to deal with chemical spills dealt with the incident.
