Two men were taken to hospital following a serious assault in Belfast last night.

Two men were taken to hospital following a serious assault in Belfast last night.

The men, both in their late teens, were walking close to the Fortwilliam Parade junction shortly before 9.45am when they were attacked by 4 to 5 youths who kicked and punched them.

Both were later taken to hospital with one suffering from serious facial injuries.

A police spokesman said one of the attackers is of stocky build, wearing a red hooded top, blue jeans bleached at the front and white flat-souled trainers.

Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at the Antrim Road police station.
