Police investigating the murders of three men in Britain who were hit by a car while protecting shops and homes from looters made two further arrests today.

West Midlands Police arrested two men, aged 29 and 30, on suspicion of murdering Haroon Jahan (21) and brothers Shazad Ali (30) and Abdul Musavir (31) in the early hours of August 10 during riots in the Winson Green area of Birmingham.

The suspects, who are from Birmingham, are being held in police custody for questioning.

Nine other men have so far been arrested by police investigating the killings.
