Gardaí have arrested two men in Dublin in relation to separate cannabis seizures.

Over 90kgs of the drug was discovered concealed in a consignment of chocolates from the Netherlands in Dublin port this afternoon.

One man in his late 20s was arrested and is being held at Ballymun Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act.

The operation was carried out by the Garda National Drug Unit in co-operation with the Revenue's Customs Services.

Last night another man was arrested following the seizure of up to €1 million worth of the drug.

As part of an ongoing operation, officers from the Garda National Drugs Unit stopped and searched a van in Rathcoole. During the search, officers uncovered a quantity of herbal cannabis.

A man in his 20s was arrested and is being held at Clondalkin Garda station.
