Gardaí in Louth have arrested two people after seizing drugs worth €210,000 last night.

Gardaí in Louth have arrested two people after seizing drugs worth €210,000 last night.

Gardaí stopped and searched a car on the M1 outside Dundalk at 8.45pm.

A quantity of cocaine with a potential street value of €210,000 was found, and a knife was seized.

The two male occupants of the car, aged 29 and 33, were arrested and are being detained at Dundalk Garda station.

One is being detained under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act and the other is being detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
