Two held over firearms, drugs find

Two men aged in their 20s are being questioned today in connection with the discovery of two firearms and drugs in Dublin.

Two men aged in their 20s are being questioned today in connection with the discovery of two firearms and drugs in Dublin.

The men were arrested yesterday afternoon following a search of a house in Castleknock.

During the course of the search two Shotguns and a small quantity of Cannabis Herb and Cocaine were recovered.

The two men were arrested at the scene and are currently being held at Blanchardstown Garda station under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act 1939.

Yesterday's search was carried out as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Blanchardstown area.

It involved gardaí from the local drug unit assisted by the Crime Task Force.
