Officers from the Organised Crime and Garda National Drugs units found 30 kilogrammes of the drug during the search of a car at Blanchardstown shopping centre at about 8pm last night.

Two men in their 30s were arrested at the scene and are both detained at Blanchardstown Garda station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act. They can be held for up to seven days.

In a follow-up operation, a house in Fortlawn, Blanchardstown and a warehouse in Blakestown were searched and a further 30 kilos of cannabis was seized.

The total street value of both seizures is about €350,000.
