Two held in €300,000 drugs seizure

Two men were being questioned today after the seizure of €300,000 worth of drugs.

Gardaí in Limerick discovered 3.5 kilogrammes of cocaine and 3 kilogrammes of amphetamine when they stopped and searched a car on Ballysimon Road in Limerick City last night.

The two occupants, both men in their 20s, were arrested at the scene.

They are being detained at Henry Street and Roxboro Road Garda Stations under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act 1996, under which they can be held for up to seven days.
