Gardaí seized half a kilo of cociane during a search on a car in Laois late last night.
The drugs, with an estimated street value of €35,000, were found concealed in the car which was stopped by gardai on the Cork Road, Abbeyleix at around 11 o'clock last night.
Two Tipperary men, aged in their twenties, were arrested at the scene and are being held under section 2 of The Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act at Portlaoise Garda Station.
They can be detained for up to seven days .
