Two held after Meath drugs find

Two men have been arrested following the seizure of cannabis plants in Navan, Co Meath.

Two men have been arrested following the seizure of cannabis plants in Navan, Co Meath.

Gardaí searched a house in Lobinstown yesterday and discovered 480 cannabis plants with an estimated value of €384,000.

A sophisticated growing and cultivating operation had been set up in the house, gardaí said.

The men, aged 30 and 36-years-of-age, are being held at Kells Garda station under section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
