The second man who drowned in the Royal Canal, Dublin, late on Friday has been named

The second man who drowned in the Royal Canal, Dublin, late on Friday has been named. Mr Michael Foynes (36), from Gloucester Place, was trying to save his friend Mr Patrick Jarvis (36), from Abbotstown Drive, Finglas, who fell into the canal shortly before midnight.

Meanwhile, the body of Mr Pat Ward (31), of Clare Hill, Ballymore, Co Westmeath, who drowned while boating was recovered from Lough Sewdy in Ballymore on Saturday.
