Gardai are appealing for witnesses to an accident in Dublin on Saturday in which a 25-year-old motorcyclist died.

Mr Trevor Kerrigan (25), from Broadford Avenue, Ballinteer, was killed when his motorcycle apparently went out of control at Ballinteer Avenue, Dundrum, and crashed into a pole at about 1.30 p.m. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Meath Hospital. Gardai in Tipperary town are seeking the driver of a car who was involved in a hit-and-run accident which resulted in the death of an elderly man on Saturday night. Mr John Dillon (71), of Friarstown, Tipperary, was struck and killed by a car as he walked along the Dundrum Road at Garnacanty, shortly after 7 p.m. The death of a 19-year-old girl in a fall from a Dublin Corporation tower-block in Ballymun was a tragic accident, according to Gardai. Ms Tracey Martin, from Tymon North, Tallaght, was attending a party in Thomas Plunkett tower when she fell from a 13th floor balcony. The accident occurred at about 7.45 p.m. on St Stephen's Day.
