A WOMAN was killed yesterday after a car went out of control and hit a tree on the Trim Dublin road about two miles from Batterstown. Mrs Ann Boyle (28), of Newtown Crescent, Abbey View, Trim, a passenger in the car being driven by her husband was taken to Our Lady's Hospital, Navan, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

In Dublin, a woman in her 70s was killed when hit by a car on Meath Street early today. An elderly man, who was walking with the woman, was also struck by the car and taken to the Meath Hospital.
