Two children have been taken to hospital after a fire in west Belfast.

The children, a boy aged four and his 15-month-old sister, were asleep upstairs in a house at Colinview Street when the fire started in a bin in their garden early this morning.

The alarm was raised by a passer-by. A male relative, who was looking after the children, was also treated in hospital.

The PSNI has launched an investigation into the incident and is treating the fire as suspicious.
