Two west Cork brothers were last night charged at a special sitting of the District Court at Bantry with the murder of their mother last December 24th.
The men, Mr Kieran O'Brien (20) and Mr Noel O'Brien (19) of High Street, Drimoleague, Co Cork, were charged with the murder of their mother, Mrs Julia O'Brien, (45) of the same address.
The two brothers appeared before District Justice Brendan Wallace and were remanded in custody to appear at Skibbereen District Court next Tuesday.
