Two Scottish nationals who were charged with drugs offences appeared before a special sitting of Wicklow District Court last night. Det Garda Patrick Hayes gave evidence of detaining Mr James Smith (35), of Second Street, Berkenshaw, Glasgow, on the Newtownmountkennedy by-pass on Monday night.with intent to supply, and possession of amphetamines and possession of amphetamines with intent to supply.
Det Garda Pat Carroll told Judge Sean Delap that he had detained Ms Nichola Bowie (19) of Lindsay Place, Perth, Scotland, in the early hours of Tuesday morning at Wicklow town. Ms Bowie was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply. Judge Delap remanded the two in custody with consent to bail.
