A postmortem on a man's body found in a Waterford house last night indicate there was no foul play involved.

A postmortem on a man's body found in a Waterford house last night indicate there was no foul play involved.

The examination was carried out today at Waterford Regional Hospital by the State Pathologist, Dr Marie Cassidy.

The remains of the 24-year-old were discovered in the house at St Herblain Park, Kilcohan, at about 1am. It is unclear how the man died or how long he had been dead before his body was found.

Separately, the body of a  woman was found by emergency service staff at a bungalow in Grange Cohen, Waterford, this morning.

Gardaí do not believe there is any connection between the two deaths.
