A man and a woman have been arrested following the seizure of a handgun, silencer and a number of rounds of ammunition in Clondalkin.
The seizure was made following a planned search of a house in the Wheatfield area by gardaí from the drug unit based at Ronanstown Garda station.
A man and woman in their late 20s were arrested at the scene and are currently being detained under the provisions of section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at Ronanstown and Lucan Garda stations.
