Two arrested after Galway robbery

Two young men have been arrested after an armed robbery on a shop in Galway city late last night.

Two young men have been arrested after an armed robbery on a shop in Galway city late last night.

A staff member in the shop was slightly injured during the robbery.

One of the arrested men is in his twenties and the other is in his late teens. Witnesses said the men were carrying knives when they held up a on Tuam Road at 10pm. The are being questioned at Galway Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

They were arrested at the scene and all stolen cash was recovered.
