LICE - Turkey yesterday vowed to pursue Kurdish rebels through the snow capped mountains of eastern Turkey after some of the fiercest fighting in a 12 year separatist campaign.

Army officers said troops had killed 133 Kurdistan Workers Party rebels for the loss of 30 soldiers in fighting that began last weekend.

"The operation will continue until there are no terrorists left," the Interior Minister, Mr Ulku Guney, said.
