Brussels - Turkey and Greece agreed yesterday to work towards connecting the two countries' gas networks, a step greeted by the European Commission as a major sign of warming relations between them. Representatives of the two governments, meeting in Brussels, signed a memorandum of understanding along with the European Commission that aims to pave the way for private investors to start work on a new pipeline by 2002.
