Ankara - Turkey yesterday did battle with Islamic activists of all shades in courts, jails and police dragnets for radical guerrillas blamed for grisly murders.

Turkey has been shocked by the discovery of 33 bodies, mainly Kurds, tortured to death and buried by Hizbullah guerrillas in shallow graves in big cities. A junior coalition party leader said "traitors" within the state apparatus must have co-operated with the militants.
