Exploration group Tullow Oil, said the Kigogole-3 exploration well in Uganda had found more than 20 meters of net oil pay in two separate zones.

The well was drilled to a depth of 575 meters and was successfully logged and sampled, the Dublin and London-listed company said today in a statement. It’s located in the Butiaba region of Uganda Block 2.

Kigogole-3 is the eighth successful test of the Victoria Nile Delta play fairway within the Lake Albert Rift Basin, according to Tullow.
