Tullow Oil  has made a number of drilling announcements.

It reported the first gas from the Kelvin field in the UK Southern North Sea, the start of drilling on the Ngassa-1 well in Uganda, the testing of the Mputa-4 discovery well there and the completion of the M'Pano exploration well in Gabon.

The company said it began natural gas production from the Kelvin field on November 15th.

The Ngassa-1 exploration well in Block 2 Uganda, which had a delayed start due to heavy rain, is now being drilled and will test the high impact Ngassa prospect beneath Lake Albert.

Tullow Oil also said poor weather has affected the start of the Mputa-4 well test. Test drilling started on November 21st, and results are expected in early December.
