A 21-year-old man appeared before a special sitting of Tullamore Court yesterday following an incident in the town early yesterday in which a 17-year-old girl was allegedly stabbed. Mr Aidan Mitchell, of Church St, Tullamore, was charged with assaulting Ms Caitriona Duane. He was remanded on his own bail of £1,000 to appear at Tullamore Court on February 5th. A bail condition prevents the accused from approaching Ms Duane.
