BUJUMBURA - Eyewitnesses said Burundi troops led the slaughter of 400 civilians in the north west province of Muramvya early this month but the army denied the report. The witnesses said the 400 were killed in Bukeye commune in Muramvya province on January 5th by troops armed with guns and displaced Tutsis with machetes and clubs.
