BANGKOK - Hundreds of Vietnamese crowded a Hanoi courtroom yesterday for the start of a sensational drug trial of 22 people, including police, customs and border security officers who are threatening to reveal top level links to international narcotics trafficking in the country's powerful internal security apparatus. The case highlights Vietnam's emerging role as a pipeline for drugs moving from southeast Asia's Golden - Triangle to western consumer markets.
