Trial starts today of Louth man charged with possession of drugs

THE trial starts this morning of a man charged with possession of drugs with an estimated street value of £300,000.

THE trial starts this morning of a man charged with possession of drugs with an estimated street value of £300,000.

Mr Vincent Donegan, Bawntaaffe, Monasterboice, Co Louth, is charged with possession of cannabis resin on May 18th last year at Bawntaaffe, Monasterboice.

He is also charged with possession with intent to supply.

The trial will be before Judge Patrick Smith at Dundalk Circuit Criminal Court.

Mr Donegan is the son of the former Minister for Defence, Mr Paddy Donegan.
