A brother of a former loyalist informer, Clifford McKeown, has been returned for trial at Belfast Crown Court accused of the murder of Ms Bernadette Martin (18), a Catholic, last year.

Mr Trevor McKeown (37), Coronation Gardens, Aghalee, denies murdering Ms Martin at the Aghalee home of her Protestant boyfriend on July 15th, 1997, and possessing a .22 pistol and ammunition with intent to endanger life. The trial is expected to take place early next year.
