The jury trial of a doctor accused of sexual assault of a woman is to start at Castlebar Circuit Court next Tuesday. It was originally scheduled for last Tuesday.
It was postponed yesterday after a barrister objected to possible jury bias, which he said might occur over the weekend as only the woman's side of the case would have been heard. Judge Harvey Kenny said he was agreeing very reluctantly to the request.
