The trial of a car dealer charged with evading tax on luxury cars has reached the closing stages at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

John Dunne (39), of Monastery Park, Clondalkin, Dublin, has pleaded not guilty to eight counts of evading vehicle registration tax on five high-spec Range Rovers and three top-end Audi vehicles.

The jury has been addressed by counsel for the prosecution and the defence and will be charged by Judge Yvonne Murphy today.
