Trawler sinks off Canaries

Madrid - A Moroccan fishing boat with 16 people on board has sunk 1.5 miles off Spain's Canary Islands, Spanish state radio said yesterday. The sea rescue service quoted by the radio said air search efforts for the missing crew had been abandoned and would resume today.
