FRIENDS of Frank Barrett (19), the Galway traveller who has been included in the Irish Olympic boxing team, held a party in Galwegians Rugby Club last night to celebrate his selection. Between 150 and 200 travellers and members of the settled community attended.
Two local gardai, a bank and a local radio station started a fund to enable Barrett to participate in the Olympics.
