NUKU'ALOFA, Tonga - South Pacific countries are uniquely placed to benefit from millennium celebrations, a committee established to evaluate the tourism implications of the event said in Tonga yesterday. Because of their proximity to the International Dateline, New Zealand, Tonga, Western Samoa and Fiji will be among the first countries to celebrate the start of 2000.
