Tougher school rules unveiled

The Education and Employment Secretary, Ms Gillian Shephard, unveiled a package of measures on school discipline, as a key element of the Government's drive to raise standards in schools. Moves to allow schools to expel children for longer periods and bring back detention were confirmed.
