BRASILIA - Tough times in the Brazilian economy have taken a toll on the sexual performance of the country's males, a newspaper reported yesterday. A Sao Paulo cardiovascular surgeon told Estado de Sao Paulo that stress, as opposed to physical ailments, accounts for the sexual problems of 60 per cent of men seeking his services.

That compared with 30 per cent in 1986 when Brazil began a series of austere anti inflation programmes, Dr Roberto Tullii told the newspaper.
